How to get the most accurate measurements

Factors that can affect blood pressure readings:

2. Correct position of body and arm
Avoid eating, exercising or bathing for 30 minutes before measuring. It is suitable to rest quietly for 15 minutes before starting measuring.
Be sure to sit in a chair with your back straight and with your feet on the floor and your arm supported so your elbow is at about heart level.
Make sure the cuff lies about 2 or 3cm above the elbow, palm up, put it on the table. Be able to fit 2 fingers between your arm and the cuff.
Stretch your arm forward on the desk and keep relaxing. Sit still and avoid body movement during the measurement
3. Best time to take a reading
It is quite normal for people's blood pressure to change throughout the day and night, or in different settings where you may measure your blood pressure.
Attempt to carry out the measurements regularly at the same time of day. For example, You can take readings twice a day, once in the morning and once at night for comparison purposes.
